Java GUI Design - Massachusetts
Creating UI screens for the TV using Java AWT
UI screens to include DVR (Program Guide, recordings library & schedule, search functionality, etc.), Video On Demand, digital music app, digital photos app, system settings, etc.
Prototyping UI screens to meet functional requirements, such as staying within memory constraints, responding quickly to remote control input (ie., scrolling through a Program Guide quickly), and looking good
Helping to scope out projects so that some implementation can be passed on to other UI developers
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of software development
Minimum 3 years of user interface implementation
Proficiency in Java AWT, especially under Java 1 API constraints
Proficiency in UI technologies (colors, fonts, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
Set top box or embedded systems experience (Vrtx and VxWorks) preferred
Linux knowledge preferred
Bachelors degree in computer science or related field
