Radiological Technologist - Massachusetts

Job duties include: Prepares room daily for examinations and ensures equipment is set up and functional. Take thorough and accurate patient medical history before preparing patients for examination. Accurately performs all procedures with minimal repeat films Completes all paperwork necessary for processing scans and for reporting final results and ensures all exams are correctly charged. Authenticates and dates reports of all examinations performed and makes them a part of the patient's clinical record. Use proper precautions to prevent unnecessary exposure for the protection of patient safety Exhibit the utmost concern for patient care and comfort at all times.
Qualified candidates must be able to follow physicians' orders precisely and conform to the regulations concerning the use of radiation. Candidates must also maintain a safe and therapeutic diagnostic radiological environment based on practice standards and radiation safety guidelines and be a graduate of a CAAHEP approved school of Radiologic Technology. Candidates must have thorough knowledge of radiograph production, processing techniques, and radiation protection devices as well as possess experience utilizing radiological equipment and processors to produce radiographs. Candidates must have the appropriate current state licensure and/or certificates. ARRT certification is required, MRI registry preferred.
